There are many reasons why you may be considering car rental options at Walt Disney World on property. Maybe you want to take a day trip to Universal Studios, or a day trip to the beach. Or perhaps you want to hit up the Disney Outlet stores for some cheap souvenirs.
There are several Alamo Rent-a-Car and National Car Rental locations on property at Walt Disney World. There are rental options from Disney’s own Car Care Center on site, or from the Swan and Dolphin hotels. In addition to several other car rental locations at hotels just barely offsite, and accessible from Disney Springs.
I have researched all of the car rental options at Walt Disney World on property and listed each one further in this article. You can access all of these options while staying at Walt Disney World if you need just a quick escape from the mouse. Or you can drop your rental car off at them so you can save money and avoid paying parking fees while you are staying at your Disney resort.
List of Car Rental Locations Actually On Property At Walt Disney World
Alamo is the official car rental provider for Walt Disney World. For that reason, most of the rental options that are actually on site are through Alamo, or their partner company, National. (Enterprise is not really prevalent on site at WDW – just Alamo and National).
Car Rentals From Disney’s Car Care Center – Alamo and National
The Car Care Center is usually the best and most convenient way to rent a car in Walt Disney World. It is located very close to the Magic Kingdom (by the Speedway gas station) and also offers shuttle service to the center from Walt Disney World Resorts.

Saturday – Sunday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
After Hours: Alamo does allow after hours drop off at the Car Care Center. However, keep in mind that returning after hours here means you will need to schedule your own private transportation back to wherever you’re going because the complimentary shuttle will not be available. An Uber/Lyft or a Taxi are probably your best options for this.

Shuttle Service To and From the Car Care Center:
The complimentary shuttle service is a really great option that makes renting from the Car Care Center very convenient. Shuttle service can be arranged either from a Walt Disney World on-site resort, or from the theme parks and Disney Springs.
How to confirm your shuttle with the Car Care Center:
Call the Car Care Center at (407) 824-3470 ext. 1, to schedule your pick-up. Make sure that you contact the Car Care Center again if you need to reschedule your pick up later on.
Car Care Center Shuttle Pick Up Locations at the Disney Resorts:
If you are being picked up at a Walt Disney World Resort you will meet your shuttle outside of the hotel lobby in the driveway area.
Unless you happen to be staying at Shades of Green, Fort Wilderness, or Saratoga Springs, in which case you will meet at the following locations:
- Shades of Green: Outside, Upper level
- Note: If you are staying at Shades of Green you might also consider the on-site rental location there instead. It is described further along in this article.
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness: Outside at the Outpost
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs: Outside at the Carriage House
Car Care Center Shuttle Pick Up Locations Outside of the Disney Resorts:
- Magic Kingdom: at the Ticket and Transportation
Center
- Which requires a transfer from the park entrance by monorail or ferry
- Epcot: at the Taxi and Shuttle Parking area out front of the main entrance
- Animal Kingdom: at the Disabled Parking area
- Hollywood Studios: at the bus parking, charter C-8
- Blizzard Beach and/or Typhoon Lagoon: out front of the main guest entrance
- Disney Springs: at the parking area between AMC Theaters and Planet Hollywood

Car Rental Locations on Property at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel – Alamo and National
If you are staying at either the Swan or the Dolphin, or any of the other nearby Boardwalk hotels, like Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort or Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, you will definitely want to consider this option for your car rental.
There is an Alamo Rent-a-Car and a National Car Rental on-site at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel. The counter is located in the main lobby of the Dolphin Hotel at Guest Services, which is located between the front desk and the east elevators.

Car Rental Locations on Disney Property, But Not At The Disney Resorts
So maybe you’re staying on property, not at one of the official Disney Resorts, but at a Good Neighbor Hotel instead. There are some additional car rental locations on property as well at other hotels on property, just without the benefits of the Car Care Shuttle service. Though they may still be convenient if you’re staying nearby or are loyal to a brand other than Alamo or National.

Car Rental Locations At Disney Springs Area Hotels – Just Barely Offsite
There are several car rental locations at the Disney Springs area hotels just barely off of Disney property.
To start you will need to get to Disney Springs. If you’re currently on Disney property, the best option to get to Disney Springs is via complimentary Disney transportation from any of the theme parks or resorts.
How to Get To The Car Rental Locations at the Disney Springs Area Hotels
Once at Disney Springs, you will want to head to the “Marketplace” side. Perhaps consider taking the boat from “the Landing” near where the busses will drop you off, over to the Marketplace side if you’d rather not walk it.
Find the path that runs in front of Once Upon a Toy and The Void and continue walking on this path, out of Disney Springs, until you reach the bridge that goes over Buena Vista Drive and cross over. Then go left to get to the Alamo or National at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace, or turn right to get to the Avis at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista. Otherwise, continue straight for all of the other hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd.
Turn left on Buena Vista Drive to get to the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace. All of the other rental options on this list are located on Hotel Plaza Blvd. To get to Hotel Plaza Blvd just go straight, instead of left, and crossover Buena Vista Dr onto Hotel Plaza Blvd.
